Join us for a weekly exploration of good food!

Lil' Chefs invites kids to the table where they will investigate fresh ingredients with all of their senses and prepare a tasty recipe together!

Lil' Chefs - Preschool Cooking Class

This class is perfect for kids ages 2- 5 and their caregiver. Each week, we'll read a new book about food! Our classes are 99% vegetarian (sometimes we have pepperoni etc). 

We practice food positivity! No stress environment = kids are more trusting and willing to explore at their own pace. "Picky" eaters are MOST welcome! 


Registration is $35/ class (register for 1 month at a time). Your registration includes 1 child (and caregiver). You are also welcome to bring any babies/ younger siblings along as well. If you have additional children that would like to participate, please register them.

SEPTEMBER - (4 classes)

Week of:

Sept 8 - Apple Galette - peeling and chopping, making homemade pie dough. So much fun!

Sept 15 - Chilaquiles - young chefs will love making this colorful, tasty egg dish with corn tortillas, salsa, veggies and cheese. 

Sept 22 - Veggie Marinara + Polenta - chopping fresh veggies and herbs for this tasty comfort food. 

Sept 29 - Apple Cider Donuts - young bakers will practice measuring and mixing a batter for these delicious seasonal treats rolled in cinnamon and sugar. 


OCTOBER - (4 classes)

Week of:

October 6 - Pumpkin Muffins - kids will love explore baking spices and mixing and measuring to make these sweet muffins.

October 13 - Homemade Pizza - kids will love rolling out their own dough to make personal pizzas with their choice of toppings. 

October 20 - Chana Masala - we'll be celebrating Diwali by making this fragrant chick pea stew. 

October 27 - Halloween Cookies!  - young bakers will love making these adorable sugar cookies with colorful sprinkles. 

NOVEMBER - (3 classes)

Week of:

(classes start the last week of October - no class the week of Thanksgiving) 

November 3 -  Garlic Knots - making a yeasted dough, tying the knots, and brushing with homemade garlic butter.

November 10 - Cheddar Crackers - kids will love mixing up this all butter, cheddar dough for the best goldfish crackers. 

November 17 - Mini Pumpkin Pies - little chefs will be so proud to show off their mini pumpkin pies that they made! 

DECEMBER - (3 classes)

Week of:

December 1 - Rugelach - little bakers will mix up a cream cheese dough for these rich, chocolate filled treats. 

December 8 - Potato Latkes - grating potatoes, squeezing out the liquid and mixing it all up for the best latkes!

December 15 - Sugar Cookie Palooza - kids will love making their own dough and rolling out dozens of cookies to decorate and enjoy. 

Each class is unique and every week is packed with recipes and projects!

Everyday we will make new recipes that encourage skill development, creativity and help young chefs build confidence. Chefs will create a new recipe each day, building on skills throughout the week.
