Teen & Adult Parties at Portage Park

Celebrate birthdays, milestones, or just a fun night out with our hands-on cooking parties designed for teens and adults! Hosted in our welcoming Portage Park kitchen, each 2-hour private event includes interactive culinary activities, delicious food, and plenty of creativity.

You are not required to bring anything! 

Pasta + Bundt

Everyone will mix and knead their pasta dough by hand. Then while the dough rests, participants stir up bundt cake batter. The instructors will put the cakes right in the oven so they are ready to eat at the end of the party. At this time, the pasta dough is nice and rested, we will use our old-fashioned hand-crank pasta machines to roll and cut the pasta dough. The pasta cooks quickly and is served with simmering red sauce, and we will use glaze and sprinkles to decorate the mini bundt cakes. Buon Appetito!

Pizza + Crumbl Birthday Cake Cookie

Everyone will begin by making their own yeasted pizza dough. While the dough rises a bit, we will mix together the ingredients for the Crumbl birthday cake cookies. After the cookies go in the oven, it's time to roll out the pizza dough and top it with mozzarella and pepperoni-- as you like it! The pizzas bake quickly, and while they cool, we will add our cream cheese frosting to the cookies. Now it's time to enjoy the feast!

Tortillas/Quesadillas + Churro Donuts

Everyone will make their own tortillas by hand with corn flour and our old-fashioned tortilla presses. After preparing the masa tortilla dough, we will mix up the batter for the churro donuts that are baked in the oven. While the donuts bake and cool, we will stamp out our tortillas and and cook them with the option of turning them into melty quesadillas. We will also chop veggies for a fresh pico de gallo and roast up some tomatillo salsa. Right before sitting down to this delicious meal, we will toss the cooled donuts in butter and top them with cinnamon sugar. Buen provecho!

Ricotta Gnocchi + Neapolitan Cookies

We will first prepare the deliciously soft ricotta gnocchi dough using fresh ingredients. While the dough rests, participants stir up the batter for Neapolitan cookies with natural flavors: vanilla, freeze-dried strawberry powder, and cocoa powder. It's a lot of fun combining the flavored dough in different ways for the cookies! While cookies bake, participants roll out, cut, and shape gnocchi. The gnocchi are boiled and served with an optional red sauce, and the colorful cookies complete our Italian meal. Mangia!

Veggie Potstickers + Strawberry Milk Tea with Popping Boba

The fun starts as everyone hones their knife skills by chopping up assorted veggies for the potsticker filling. We will then sautée the veggies until golden and teach everyone how to fold their dumplings with prepared flour wrappers. The potstickers are then pan-fried until crispy, while everyone mixes up their strawberry milk tea, complete with popping boba! You'll feel like you went to a trendy Tiawanese café!

Each experience is $450 for up to 8 participants and includes all ingredients, supplies, and guided instruction. Perfect for birthdays, friend get-togethers, or family celebrations with a creative twist!

Please submit the form and we’ll be in touch soon. Once we have agreed on a date, time and party, we’ll send an invoice for the deposit to confirm (equal to the amount of the base party cost). We’ll reach out the week before your event to confirm the number of guests you are expecting. We’ll invoice you for the balance the day after the party. Gratuities are appreciated for our party hosts!
